Turkey will supply Ukraine with floating power plants with a capacity of 500 MW, which will be able to cover the electricity needs of 1 million households, writes Anadolu, citing the memorandum of the Turkish Karpowership company and the Ukrainian Energy Company.
"Floating power plants offer fast, reliable and flexible solutions to electricity problems, and we are ready to support Ukraine as quickly as possible," said Karpowership representative Zeynep Kharezi.
"Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, it is assumed that the floating power plants with a capacity of 500 megawatts will start promptly supplying electricity to the distribution network of Ukraine," writes the Turkish agency.
According to him, it is assumed that the stations will be located in the ports of Moldova and Romania and will supply electricity to the Ukrainian networks through those countries. However, this still needs to be negotiated with the Romanian and Moldovan authorities.
